Overview
As Operations Manager at The Ocean Cleanup, I oversee the operational roll-out of the Interceptor™, a technology designed to remove plastic pollution from rivers. My responsibilities span across the full implementation cycle, from contracting and transportation to assembly, commissioning, and the training of local operators at multiple locations. I ensure that the systems are operationally effective and aligned with The Ocean Cleanup’s sustainability goals.
In collaboration with the engineering team, I focus on optimizing and testing technologies to ensure the Interceptor™ systems perform at their highest potential. Additionally, I work with local partners on both a technical and strategic level to ensure the successful deployment and operation of the Interceptor™ in various locations.
Scope & Responsibilities
Operational Roll-Out of Interceptor™
Oversee the deployment of The Ocean Cleanup's Interceptor™ systems, including the contracting, transportation, assembly, and commissioning processes across multiple locations.Training & Support
Manage the training of local operators, ensuring they are fully equipped to operate and maintain the Interceptor™ systems efficiently.Collaboration with Engineering Team
Align with the engineering team to test and improve the technologies and methods behind the Interceptor™ systems, ensuring that they meet operational standards and sustainability goals.Local Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with local partners and stakeholders at both technical and strategic levels to ensure smooth operations and integration of the Interceptor™ into local ecosystems.Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for operational improvements, optimizing processes, and ensuring the continued effectiveness and impact of the Interceptor™ systems.
